Bertie Lee Spencer Jr., 59 of Colfax, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Chrisanne “Chris” Lasley, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at her home. Chris was born on July 10, 1959, in Lebanon to Lawrence “L.D.” and Erma (Shoemaker) Witmer. She was raised in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon Senior High School in 1977. She went on to attend Indiana State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1981. Chris began her professional career in the insurance industry in 1981.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a single-lane closure on I-65 southbound in Tippecanoe County. Beginning on or after the morning of Tuesday, November 11, crews will close the right southbound lane of I-65 between County Road 725 N. and just south of Swisher Road, located near Battle Ground.
