The St. Vincent de Paul Society’s 5 Loaves & 2 Fish Food Pantry at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Lebanon is this Sat, July 18th. The Hours are from 9:30AM-11:30AM. A roundabout for the intersection at 300 South and 975 East in Zionsville has been approved. The Boone County Commissioners voted to have USI Consultants develop plans for the roundabout in rural Zionsville. It took four years for Boone County to win funding for the roundabout project through Indiana’s Safe Streets and Roads for All Grant. The county received $584,000 in state and federal funding for the project. Construction is not expected to begin until 2031.

Frankfort Hot Dogs athletics will now operate on a fully cashless basis for all events and concessions. Payments must be made by credit card or debit card. Frankfort High School athletics will no longer accept cash for tickets to events or concessions.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a ramp closure that will impact State Road 28 to I-65 northbound. Beginning on or after Thursday evening, July 16, INDOT contractors will close the ramp during the overnight hours for pavement patching. Construction is anticipated to last for one evening between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. but is weather dependent and subject to change.

Lebanon Utilities crews will be working in the Northfield area over the next few weeks. This work is the first step in replacing aging electrical wire throughout the area. Please use caution when traveling through the area, watch for utility crews and equipment, and follow any posted traffic signs.

Charles Russell “Chuck” Wyant, 75, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on June 17, 1951, in Thorntown; a son of the late Russell and Clara (Bunch) Wyant. Chuck graduated from Thorntown High School. He worked at Palmore for 40 years as a press brake operator. On May 30, 1997, he married Trudy Ann (Ridge) Wyant in Lebanon; she survives. Chuck was a member of the County Line Fishing Club. He was a beloved husband,

One woman is dead and a man is injured after a motorcycle crash in Lebanon. Police say the motorcycle hit a utility pole after 10 p.m. Monday at State Road 39 and Anderson Lane. The passenger was taken to the hospital, but did not survive, while the driver was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital in critical condition. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.

Indiana has changed the way property tax benefits are provided to disabled veterans and qualifying surviving spouses. Anyone currently receiving a Disabled Veteran Property Tax Deduction, as well as new applicants, must register for the new property tax credit program to continue receiving benefits. David Lee Woodard lived a life following Jesus Christ and on Saturday, July 11, 2026, one day after his 91st birthday, he went to his heavenly home to be with Him. He began his public safety career at the West Lafayette Police Department the same year. Mike retired as a Captain after 32 years of service. Following his time as a police officer Mike joined the State Fire Marshal's office and served for eight years as a Fire Inspector.
