Frankfort Fire To Hold Blessing, Push-In Ceremony
The Frankfort Fire Department invites the community to their first-ever blessing ceremony, honoring their new Engine 3, on Thursday, April 16, at 5 p.m. at Fire Station 3, 1400 W. Barner Street in Frankfort. The ceremony will include a blessing of the truck by Pastor Kevin Alber, followed by a wash down with commemorative towels provided by the fire department. Once complete, guests will be invited to help push the truck by hand into its bay of the firehouse.

Bridge Closure To Impact U.S. 421
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a bridge closure that will impact U.S. 421 south of Rossville. Beginning on or after Wednesday, April 15, the U.S. 421 bridge over Cripe Run will close for maintenance and repairs. This is located between County Road 700 N. and C.R. 800 N. Construction is anticipated to last through August but is weather-dependent and subject to change. The official detour around the closure follows State Road 26 to S.R. 75, back to S.R.
