Richard Shelby Lenox

Richard Shelby Lenox, 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born in Lebanon on January 14, 1945, a son of the late Richard Moore “Dick” and Mary Herr (Shelby) Lenox.

He was united in marriage to Connie J. (Pratt) Lenox on April 1, 2011, in Lebanon; she survives.

A life-resident of Lebanon, Rick graduated from Lebanon High School and went on to attain his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Following school, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

Rick spent his days at Lenox Lincoln Mercury in Lebanon working alongside his father and brother. During his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his friends at VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Lenox; stepchildren, Jill (Richard) Lariviere, Angi Fortner, and Steve (Nichole) Fortner; step grandchildren, Caroline (Jeff) Stines, Carly (Kyler) Hayes, Jack Fortner, Marcus Fortner, and Ben Fortner; step great grandchildren, Charli Fortner and Cole Stines; brother, Than H. Lenox; niece, Kelsey Lenox; and nephew, Nathaniel Lenox.

No services are planned at this time. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his care.
