Chris was born on July 10, 1959, in Lebanon to Lawrence “L.D.” and Erma (Shoemaker) Witmer. She was raised in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon Senior High School in 1977. She went on to attend Indiana State University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1981. Chris began her professional career in the insurance industry in 1981.

Single-Lane Closure To Impact I-65
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a single-lane closure on I-65 southbound in Tippecanoe County. Beginning on or after the morning of Tuesday, November 11, crews will close the right southbound lane of I-65 between County Road 725 N. and just south of Swisher Road, located near Battle Ground. A woman is dead after being shot when a cleaning crew went to the wrong address in Whitestown. Police received a report of a possible break-in before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
