Zionsville Fire Called To House Fire

At 1:27 pm Friday, the Boone County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting of a house fire in the 2800-block of E CR 700 S in rural Zionsville. Zionsville Fire Department crews arrived to find smoke and fire coming from the rear of the single-story residence. Crews arrived and immediately initiated an attack. Due to the lack of hydrants in the area, tankers from multiple agencies were requested to the scene to establish a water supply and the fire was under control in an hour.

The residents arrived home and found smoke and fire conditions when they entered the structure. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.

Preliminary damage estimates for the building and contents may exceed $200,000

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
