The Frankfort Rotary Announce Service Above Self Recognition Program

The Frankfort Rotary Club is excited to introduce Service Above Self Recognition Program that will honor individuals who have served in the armed services, as law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and first responders.

Honor your loved ones who have served or are serving by purchasing a full color, double-sided, 18” x 36” banner for $120. The banner will include the honoree’s name, photo, and area of service and will be hung from Washington Avenue & Street lampposts in downtown Frankfort from Memorial Day (May 26) through Veteran’s Day (November 11). When removed, banners will be returned to purchasers November through December 2025.

The project is an excellent opportunity to personally and publicly honor those who have served and continue to serve with the motto, “Service Above Self.”

To purchase a banner, submit a completed application, pay $120, and submit honoree’s photograph by May 12, 2025. Electronic payment and application may be completed at Rotary Club of Frankfort Facebook page or by calling a member listed below. Cash/Check payment and paper application may be hand-delivered to Rotarian Chelsea Boling at Shelter Insurance, 62 N. Main St., Frankfort between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

A total of 75 banners will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Applications will be accepted from May 2 through May 12, 2025. The Service Above Self Recognition Program proceeds will fund the Karen Sutton Rotary Club Scholarship and other community-focused programs.
