Honoring A Hero

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office invites the public to attend the official Deputy Jacob Pickett Memorial Mile sign dedication ceremony.

The ceremony will be held at the Ern K. Hudson Justice Center, Thursday, June 26th at

 9:30 AM.

Earlier this year, legislation was passed to designate I-65 between mile markers 137 and 138 as the Deputy Jacob Pickett Memorial Mile — a permanent tribute to Deputy Pickett’s service, sacrifice, and love for this community.
