On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Zionsville Police officers were conducting an investigation in the Irishmans Run neighborhood regarding a suspicious vehicle when a concerned citizen reported a male dressed in black running through residential backyards away from officers. Based on the direction of travel, the subject was believed to be moving along a creek toward Interstate 865, creating an immediate public safety concern.
A Zionsville Police officer deployed a department-issued drone, which was instrumental in locating the subject in a wooded area and providing real-time direction to officers on the ground. Whitestown Police Department officers quickly responded to assist, and when the subject attempted to flee, officers and the drone operator worked together to safely apprehend the individual following a brief foot pursuit and taser deployment.
Boone County Sheriff’s Office deputies also responded and assisted with canvassing the surrounding neighborhood to ensure there were no additional suspects and that nearby homes had not been targeted. During the investigation, the individual was found in possession of a window punch and rubber gloves, items commonly associated with burglary activity. Fabian Eliseo Llancavil Nahuel was arrested for Obstruction of Justice, False Identity Statement, Resisting Law Enforcement, and two nationwide warrants for Grand Theft and Organized Criminal Activity.
