William D. “Will” Rogers

Mr. William D. “Will” Rogers, 74, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Will was born on December 18, 1950, in Lebanon, Indiana, the son of the late William O. Rogers and Delores (Jack) Milligan. He was a proud graduate of Lebanon High School, Class of 1969, and went on to earn his degree in engineering from Purdue University.

Following college, Will dedicated over 30 years of his career to National Seal in Frankfort, which later became Federal Mogul. During his time there, he not only excelled professionally but also built lasting friendships—especially through his love of playing on the company’s softball and golf teams.

A true enthusiast of life, Will enjoyed golf, camping, and boating at Raccoon Lake. He had a lifelong passion for cars and racing, owning several race cars and rarely missing a NASCAR, IndyCar, or drag racing event. Will also loved riding motorcycles and cheering for his favorite teams—the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue Boilermakers, and Chicago Cubs.

Will’s warm personality and generous spirit touched everyone he met. He was known for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel like an old friend. Family meant the world to him, and he loved his daughters as his own. He also loved dogs. He was also a proud member of the Frankfort Eagles Club, where he gave back by helping with BINGO nights and local fundraisers. Will was also a blood donor.

Will is survived by his stepdaughters, Lora Wood, and her children, Michael, William, and Lelyn, and Leslie Payne; cousin, Rebecca (Mike) Leong, and her son, Brandon; and nieces, Susan McCluskey, and her son, Colton, Sandra McCluskey, and Sharon McCluskey-Boles. He was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin, Kendall Iwata.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 1, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Lebanon Elks Lodge, 215 Lafayette Avenue, Lebanon, IN 46052. Please wear your blue jeans and favorite sports shirt or jersey, and bring your favorite photo of Will to share.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Boone County or Clinton County.
