Janie Lynne McCluskey

Mrs. Janie Lynne McCluskey, 83, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in Lebanon. She was born September 15, 1942, in Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Corneleus Roscoe and Virginia (Johnson) Banta. Janie married Lloyd Lewis “Lewie” McCluskey on November 11, 1961, at Reeves Memorial Methodist Church in Orlando, Florida. He preceded her in death.

Janie graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, with the class of 1960. She enjoyed caring for children and worked in childcare both in her own home and at several local childcare facilities. Janie also worked as a nurse’s aide at Witham Memorial Hospital, assisting in the labor and delivery department and helping wherever she was needed throughout the hospital.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Lynne (Tom) Boles of Pittsboro, Susan Michelle McCluskey of Brownsburg, and Sandra Jane McCluskey of Lebanon; and her grandson, Colton Lewis Debard.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janie was preceded in death by her brother, Tom F. Banta.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 20, at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Final care of Janie has been entrusted to Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
