William “Bill” J. Jones

William “Bill” J. Jones, 73, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his home in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on April 11, 1952, in Lebanon, Indiana, the son of the late Garnett Paul and Mable Louise (Baldwin) Jones.

He spent his life working with his father at Jones Television. Bill enjoyed fishing, playing pool and darts, and beating all his friends at Backgammon.

He is survived by his sisters, Eva and husband, Clem Cook and Phyllis Jones- Smith both of Fayetteville, North Carolina; son, Seth J. and husband, Dr. Derek Williams of Lincoln City, Oregon; three nieces, Michelle Hasty of Marblehead, Massachusetts, Gina Gubocki of Sheridan, and Tonya Callahan of Mackenbach, Germany; three nephews, Anthony Hasty, Daryn Smith, and Bryan Smith of Nebraska; and many great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Jones-Hasty.

Graveside Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 East Washington Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Myers Mortuary is handling his arrangements.
