Trial Of Pediatrician Begins

Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a Lebanon pediatrician charged with child molesting and sexual misconduct with patients. Dr. Jonathon Cavins, 41, of Jamestown, is facing six felony charges including child molesting, a level 4 felony; two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, a level 5 felony; vicarious sexual gratification, a level 5 felony; and two counts of child seduction, a level 6 felony. The charges stem from accusations that Cavins, a pediatrician in Lebanon, molested some of his patients during physical exams. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
