The Farmers Bank Expands Access With Financial Centers And Video ATMs

Since 1876, The Farmers Bank has been proud to serve its communities with trust, connection, and personal care. As the Bank approaches its 150th anniversary, it continues to embrace change and innovation to better meet the needs of today’s customers.

Beginning Friday, September 5, 2025, all Farmers Bank branches will officially be renamed financial centers. The change reflects a more modern approach to banking by providing the same convenience of traditional services while also offering personalized financial guidance in a more consultative, relationship-focused environment.

“As we work towards being the number one community bank in the markets we serve, it is important, now more than ever, to evaluate how we serve our customers,” said Chris Cook, President & CEO of The Farmers Bank. “That means embracing our evolution, expanding access through technology like Video ATMs, enhancing software experiences, and reimagining our financial centers as spaces for deeper financial conversations. At the end of the day, it all comes back to building trust and being there for our customers.”

From Branches to Financial Centers

While branches have historically been transaction-focused, financial centers emphasize financial planning and tailored solutions for every customer. With access to specialized advisors, these centers are designed to support customers’ more complex financial needs while still providing everyday banking services.

As part of this transition, The Farmers Bank has also begun the process of elevating the look and feel of each location. These enhancements are being made thoughtfully and with intention, reflecting a solid financial investment in the communities we serve. We recognize that updating every location across our footprint will take time, and we deeply appreciate our customers’ patience as we work to create modern, welcoming spaces designed for lasting relationships and future growth.

Expanding Video ATM Access

The Farmers Bank was one of the first community banks in our markets to introduce Video ATMs, beginning with the opening of the Westfield Financial Center in 2023. These machines allow customers to speak directly with a Farmers Bank representative in real time and complete nearly all transactions available inside each location.

In recent months, the Frankfort Financial Center and Frankfort East Side ATM were converted to Video ATMs, with Fishers, Noblesville, and Mulberry to be added this fall. All Video ATMs are staffed with our Virtual Center Staff located in multiple Farmers Bank locations, creating expanded service access while making the most of the Bank’s resources.

Starting September 5, all financial center offices will close at 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. To continue offering flexibility, Video ATMs will be available 30 minutes before office hours at 8:30 AM Monday through Friday and will extend customer access on Fridays until 6:00 PM, one hour beyond financial center office closing times with Saturday hours still offered from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. We believe that having this extended access will be popular and is something we will continue to evaluate in the weeks and months to come, with the potential of offering even more options in the future.

Commitment to Community

While technology and hours are evolving, one thing that will not change is The Farmers Bank’s role as a relationship-driven, community-minded financial institution. The bank remains committed to serving individuals, families, and businesses across Boone, Clinton, and Hamilton counties with the same personal care it has provided for nearly 150 years.
