Lebanon Residents To Vote On Referendum

Lebanon residents will have another reason to go to the polls this November. City residents will vote on whether to approve financing for a new police station after the City Council unanimously advanced a referendum for what officials describe as one of the largest capital projects in city history. The referendum will ask voters whether to increase property taxes for up to 20 years to finance construction of the new headquarters. If approved the tax impact would be about $216 for a home valued at $250,000. If approved, the city expects construction could begin in 2027 and be completed in 2028.
