Suspect Arrested In Vehicle Break-ins

On April 18, 2025, at approximately 10:55 p.m., Deputies with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office took a complaint from an individual in Rossville that someone had been caught going through the individual’s vehicle.
Throughout Friday evening and into Saturday morning, Dispatch continued getting complaints of vehicle break-ins and thefts from vehicles in the Rossville area. Our on-call investigator was notified and responded to assist.
After taking statements and collecting evidence, Deputies arrested Houston Barnhart, 28, of Rossville for Theft (Level 6 Felony) and Unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle (B Misdemeanor). Barnhart is being held on a $750 cash bond.
