Phyllis Jean (Brindle) Poole

Phyllis Jean (Brindle) Poole, 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on July 12, 1936, in Lebanon; a daughter of the late Livings and Thora (Melson) Brindle.

She lived most of her life in the Advance area. Phyllis attended school at Advance, Jackson Township and Indiana Business College.

On February 23, 1954, she married Keith Poole and shared 71 loving years together; he survives.

She was a member of the Advance North Christian Church and later of the Dover Christian Church. During her years in Okeechobee, Florida, she attended First United Methodist Church. Phyllis enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and working on the farm. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and loved following the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Keith Poole; sons, Michael (Dawn) Poole and Ronald (Karen) Poole; and grandchildren, Kassi (Jeremy) Rodebaugh, Trevin (Jess) Poole, Paige (Clayton) Campbell, Jennifer (Jake) Messmer, and Ryan (Kindsey) Poole.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brothers, Keith Brindle and Melson Brindle, and her son, Kent Poole.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Private Family Graveside Services will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana
