Karen Lynn Schipper

Karen Lynn Schipper, 79, of Nashville, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 26, 1946, in Otterbein, a daughter of the late Eugene and Wilma (Fry) Frye.

Karen’s family was the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and the love she shared with them will remain her greatest legacy.

Survivors include her children, Drew (April) Schipper of Wabash and Misty (Joe) Walsh of Columbus; along with their father, Steve Schipper of Colfax; step- daughter, Brooke (Mark) Sammons; grandchildren, David (Courtney) Ford, Jessica (Tanner) Bruce, Erica (Greg) Frietzsche, Hayven Schipper, Dakota Schipper, Ashley Walsh, Austin Walsh, Kody Walsh, and Ryan Colella; and great-grandchildren, Spencer Ford, Oliver Frietzsche, Jack and Nora Ford, Johan Indermaur, and Kayden and Kai Bruce.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill Hall; her son, David Kapalin; her daughter, Suzanne Kapalin; her brother, Jim Frye; and her sister, Connie Sigman.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, February 18, 2026, for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A graveside service will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
