Donna Jean Voorhis Lee Smith

Donna Jean Voorhis Lee Smith, 69, of Chesnee, South Carolina, passed away on October 21, 2026.

Born April 25, 1957, in Lebanon, Indiana, she was the daughter of Donald L. Voorhis and the late Margurite (Weber) Voorhis. She married Johnny Smith on March 21, 2003, and he survives.

Donna is also survived by her children, Kristina (Jon) Howard of Greer, South Carolina, and Matthew Lee of Lebanon, Indiana; and her sister, Marlene Jewell of Kokomo, Indiana.

Her surviving grandchildren are Donivan “DJ” Humphries of Greer, South Carolina; Alida (Johnathan) DeYoung of Inman, South Carolina; Madison (Ethan) Cosby of Rutherford, North Carolina; and Lillian Humphries of Iowa City, Iowa. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Waylon DeYoung and Kennedy Cosby.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her granddaughter, Victoria Tave Humphries.

A memorial service will be held on October 31, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m. at Strawmeyer and Drury Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana. Following cremation, her ashes will be scattered in South Carolina.
