Julia “Julie” Musgrave

Julia “Julie” Musgrave, 69, of Thorntown, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born May 31, 1957, in Niagara Falls, New York, a daughter of the late Richard and Phyllis (Van Hook) Uhler.

Julie graduated from Western Boone High School with the Class of 1975. She worked for Kauffman Engineering, Titus Bakery, and later served as the Postmaster of the Thorntown Post Office, from which she retired after many years of dedicated service.

Julie enjoyed knitting, working with wool, and all things fiber craft. She had a passion for creating beautiful handmade items and was always eager to learn new techniques. She also had a fascination with longboats in the United Kingdom and enjoyed studying their history and travel through YouTube videos. Julia will be fondly remembered for baking delicious homemade pies, which she lovingly shared with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Lindsay (Charles) Glasson of Thorntown; son, Ryan (Lindsey) Musgrave of Jamestown; grandchildren, Wyatt (Karina) Moore, Emma Moore, Ethan Ludlow, Noah Ludlow, Brodie Musgrave, and Cale Musgrave; sister, Kris Uhler; brother, Doug (Sheila) Uhler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her son, John Sherman.
