James “Jim” Ginn

James “Jim” Ginn, 72, of Dover, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, November 2, 2026. Born March 12, 1954, in Lebanon, Indiana, a son of the late Winfred and Elizabeth (Taylor) Ginn. Jim grew up on a dairy farm in Dover; he graduated from Thorntown High School in 1972 and Ivy Tech in 1974. He worked as a dairy farmer until retirement in 1998 to care for his parents.

Jim was a member of the Dover Christian Church and attended when his health allowed. He was a quiet and very private man having struggled with many health issues over the years relying on his faith to help get him through challenging times.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, November 8 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Tully officiating in the Strawmyer and Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Jim will be laid to rest in the Dover Cemetery following the funeral service.
