Frankfort Teacher Charged For Relationship With Student

A high school teacher in Frankfort is facing felony charges for an alleged relationship with a student. The Frankfort Police Department has confirmed that Drew Akridge is being charged with dissemination of matter harmful to a minor and attempted possession of child pornography. The 27-year-old was arrested in Lafayette after initially refusing to leave his home.
According to a Facebook post from Community Schools of Frankfort, the investigation into Akridge started on April 4th after authorities gave a cyber-awareness presentation at Frankfort High School. A student reportedly told a teacher about their relationship with a high school teacher.
