Donna Jolene Friesner

Donna Jolene Friesner, 74, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 8, 1950, in Crawfordsville, Jolene was the only daughter of the late Glenn Curtis Crosby and Virginia Gayle (Cosby) Crosby.



On October 20, 1979, she was united in marriage to David Ray Friesner; he survives.



Jolene was raised on the family farm in Putnam County and graduated from Roachdale High School in 1968. She studied secretarial skills and office administration at Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She was employed in the insurance industry for many years.



Jolene was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lebanon and loved to study the Bible. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hiking in the woods. In addition, Jolene was an avid reader and writer.



Survivors include her husband, David of Thorntown; stepdaughter, Brittany Friesner of Bloomington; two brothers, Keith (Janie) Crosby and Danny (Lori) Crosby all of Lebanon; nephews, Christopher Crosby and Chasteven Crosby; great niece, Hannah Hoover; several step nieces and nephews, and many beloved cousins.



In addition to her parents, Jolene was preceded in death by her in-laws, Ralph and Kay Friesner.



Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
