David Allen Ewigleben

David Allen Ewigleben, 63, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at his home in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on July 6, 1963, in Gary, Indiana, a son of the late Dale C. and Carol A. (Smith) Ewigleben.

He graduated from high school in Hobart, Indiana and earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.

On December 28, 1991, he married Ruth Leak Ewigleben in Lafayette; she survives.

David was self-employed in residential property management. He enjoyed working outdoors, watching westerns, reading, and drinking Pepsi.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ewigleben; children, Elizabeth Ewigleben, Joshua (Kaitlyn) Ewigleben, and Sarah (Aaron) Meyer; granddaughter, Violet Ewigleben; siblings, Donald (Diana) Ewigleben, Thomas (Terri) Ewigleben, and Beth (Victor) Dimaggio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Rachel M. Ewigleben.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Burial of David's ashes will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery, 8362 N 600 W, Ambia, IN 47917.
