David Alan Buckels

David Alan Buckels, 63, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Brownsburg Health Care Center. He was born on July 26, 1962, in Lebanon, Indiana; a son of the late Darrell Lee Buckels and Elizabeth Ann (Curry) Sanders.

David attended High School in California.

He was married to Hope (Coats) Buckels in Lebanon, who passed away prior to him.

David was an OTR Truck Driver before having to retire early due to his health. He also previously worked for Lau Industries. He was a member of Moose Lodge of Lebanon. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and going to the casino.

Survivors include his children, Aaron Buckels and Derek Buckels of Waynetown, Indiana; one grandson, Isaac of Crawfordsville; sister, Darla (Rob) Thompson of Jamestown; sister-in-law, Mechelle Buckels of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by his son, Jonathon, his brother, Dennis Buckels, and his dog, Copper.

Private family services will be held. David will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana. Myers Mortuary has been entrusted with his arrangements.
