Mr. Carroll Eugene Wethington, 72, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born in Lebanon on April 20, 1951, a son of Loretta (Bolinger) Wethington Ames and the late Herschel Wethington. On August 14, 1999, he was married to Cindy (Zook) Wethington; she survives. Carroll was a 1970 graduate of Whiteland High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Carroll had worked at Subaru in Lafayette for a number of years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 113 and held a lifetime membership with the VFW Post 910 in Lebanon. Carroll was a fan of sports and often refereed boys and girls basketball games and umpired boys baseball and girls softball games. He liked old cars and enjoyed fishing and camping. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Wethington; mother, Loretta Ames; children, Brandy Jo (James) Tormey and Carroll E. Wethington, II; those he considered his sons, Joshua (fiancée, Andrea) Sisk and Jason (Amy) Sisk; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. In addition to his father, Carroll was preceded in death by his stepfather, Virgil Ames. No Services will be held. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
