Shirley Ann Cline, 76, of Whitestown, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel.
She was born December 19, 1948, in Boone County, a daughter of the late Raymond Cecil and Delma Jane (Higer) Snow. On September 3, 1966, she married the love of her life, Ralph L. Cline, Sr. The couple had just celebrated 51 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 11, 2018.
Shirley attended Lebanon High School and worked in the cafeterias of both Lebanon Middle School and Lebanon High School. She later worked for Patrick’s Office Supply before joining Boone County Probation, where she dedicated many years of service until her retirement in February of 2021.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley loved helping her husband on their family farm, which had been in his family for generations. She cherished watching her grandchildren grow up and supporting them in their sporting events. Shirley found great joy in spending time with her great grandsons, riding her golf cart, and playing BINGO with her granddaughters. She also loved teaching and participating in line dancing, a favorite pastime she enjoyed sharing with Ralph.
Survivors include her children, Ralph “Junior” (Amy) Cline of Whitestown and Lisa (Scott) Climer of Jamestown; grandchildren, Sydney Climer (Chyler), Aaron (Gabby) Cline, Lydia (Kellen) VanCamp, and Mackenzie (Brody) Moore; great-grandchildren, Easton and Noah Cline, with a great-granddaughter on the way; brother-in-law, Ron (Penny) Cline; sisters-in-law, Margaret (Cecil) Blankenship, Dotty Cline, and Becky Cline; along with several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Robert (Joy) Cline, George Cline, and Charles Cline.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Family and friends will gather Tuesday, November 25, for visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
