Boone County Conducts County Wide Sex Offender Registry Compliance Sweep

On Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office coordinated a two-day Sex Offender Registry Compliance Sweep in partnership with Boone County Probation, Boone County Community Corrections, the CASE Task Force, the United States Marshals Service, and multiple local law enforcement agencies.
The operation resulted in the following, Alexandru Ritz, 31, of Whitestown, was arrested for Violation of Community Corrections as a direct result of this operation. Boone County currently maintains a registry of 73 offenders. The purpose of this operation was to
ensure compliance with registry requirements, verify the accuracy of offender information, and promote public safety through proactive enforcement.
