Boone Council To Consider Commissioners Request

The Boone County Council on Tuesday will consider a request to add a full-time attorney position to the county’s payroll. Boone County Commissioners President Scott Pell and Vice President Tim Beyer hired attorney Beth Copeland on a contractual basis. Their desire is to have her as a full-time employee. Pell hired Copeland without a public vote and without publicly naming her until he announced her representation Jan. 31 in an email to county employees. The council will consider this at their meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
