Mrs. Betty Brennan, 90, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born March 15, 1934, in Ladoga, Indiana a daughter of the late Jewell L. and Mary E (Lame) Jeffries. She married her one and only love, Fred Brennan on June 21, 1952. They lived in Ladoga, Jamestown, Lebanon, and Rockville, Indiana, and were married for 59 years. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2011.
She graduated from Ladoga High School and attended Indiana State University. Betty worked at the State Bank of Lizton for many years as a bank teller. She had also worked at Stewart Warner in Lebanon.
Betty enjoyed her big family and often was in charge of planning their family reunions. She was a great cook and enjoyed hosting and providing holiday meals for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty loved the beach and spending her winters in Florida with Fred. Betty was a woman of great faith in the Lord, and instilled those values in her family.
Betty leaves behind her children; Cheryl Dale of Lebanon, Michael (Jamie) Brennan of Jamestown, and Lisa (David) Keaton of Lebanon; daughter in-law, Nancy Brennan of Lexington, Kentucky; Twelve grandchildren, Adrian Brennan, Kristen (Ben) Forman, Lindsey Stitch, Travis Vance, Christopher Vance, Ryan Dale, Kyle (Carrie) Brennan, Kayla (Kevin) McNabb, Zachary (Claire) Smith, Tyler Smith, Elijah Smith, and Alexi Smith; 30 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Fred; her parents; son, Steve; brothers, Harvey, Jim,
Bob, Ralph, Jerry; sister, Barbara Davidson and son in-law, Charles Dale.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Boone County Cancer Society, 1208 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052 and House of Jacks for Alzheimer’s, 1405 East State Road 32. Lebanon, Indiana.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, January 25, for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Betty will be laid to rest at Roachdale Cemetery in Roachdale.
