Day Two Of The Big Move
Clinton County government offices continue to move into the new annex. Today the Clinton County Veteran Services Office and Area Plan Office will move into the new County Annex Building. The Veteran Services Office (VSO) will be in Suite 102 on the first floor of the new Annex. The Area Plan office will also move into the Annex’s first floor, Suite 104. Both offices should resume regular service later this week.

Showalter Arrested On Intimidation Charges
A Zionsville man who served 20 years in prison for killing a Lebanon man in 2002 has been charged after he threatened an individual and his family multiple times over text. According to court documents, Christopher Showalter has been charged with four counts of intimidation, each a Level 6 felony, in Boone County. A pretrial conference is scheduled for Nov.19 and a jury trial is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026.

City Of Lebanon Announces Leaf Pick-Up
Leaf Season begins this week in the city of Lebanon. The Department of Public Works ask that you place your leaves on the parkway or in the street next to the curb away from storm drains, parked cars, signs, telephone poles or any object that will interfere with picking up the leaves. The leaf machines cannot pick up tall decorative grasses, garden plants or flowers. During leaf season Limbs will not be picked up.

Cycling League Holds Race At Stone Eater
The Indiana Interscholastic Cycling League will hold its’ final race of the season at Stone Eater Bike Park this weekend. Saturday the trails will remain open to the public with some restrictions. Practice will run from 12-4pm with Rubber Chicken Relays 5pm. On Sunday practice runs from 7:30-8:30 with racing from 9:15-2.

County Offices Begin Move To Annex
Beginning Monday, October 20, Clinton County government offices will start relocating from the Courthouse to the new Clinton County Annex Building at Main and Washington Streets in downtown Frankfort. The first offices to move will be the Survey's Office and the Treasures Office. Both offices should reopen by Wednesday.

Rossville School Receives Security Grant
The Rossville Consolidated School District has received a $150,112 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to enhance school safety. The grant, awarded through the 2025 School Violence Prevention Program by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services , will be used to upgrade door infrastructure in key areas of the district’s educational facilities. Whitestown Traffic Stop Nets 24 Pounds Of Cocaine
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Monday evening (10/13/2025), officers with the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department (WMPD) conducted a traffic stop on southbound I-65 near the 131-mile marker. Flagging Operation To Impact State Road 32
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces an ongoing flagging operation that is impacting State Road 32 between Shannondale and Dover.
