Zionsville P. D. Releases REACH Unit

The Zionsville Police Department’s REACH Unit — Resources, Evaluating, Assisting in Community Health — helps connect individuals with behavioral health, mental health, substance-use, and other community resources when they need support beyond the initial police response. To help in this effort the Zionsville police department is excited to announce a partnership with the Boone County Health Department through a grant awarded to support the REACH program. One of the first projects made possible through this partnership is the creation of Hope Kits. Hope Kits are small bags filled with practical, stress-relieving items. The REACH team will provide these kits during follow-up visits, along with a packet of community resources.
