Zionsville Fire Called To House Fire

At 1:52pm Tuesday afternoon, the Zionsville Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 6000-block of Amherst Way in Zionsville. Zionsville firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from the attic area of the single-story residence. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control after 30 minutes.

One resident was home at the time of the fire and was able to exit the structure prior to crews arriving. Zionsville Fire Department investigators are investigating the cause of the fire and estimate damage costs to exceed $300,000.
