The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary closure of U.S. 136 in and around Jamestown.

Beginning on or after Thursday, May 8, crews will close U.S. 136 between High Street, stretching to 0.8 miles west of State Road 75. During the closure, a roadway rehabilitation project will be taking place, including asphalt resurfacing. Work is anticipated to last until September but is weather-dependent and subject to change.

The official detour around the closure is U.S.136 to S.R. 32 to I-74 to S.R. 75 to U.S. 136. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution in and around work zones.
