The powerful traveling exhibition, “Eyes of Freedom,” will be on display in Frankfort this week at Prairie Creek Park’s Encompass Event Center from July 2-5, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
The “Eyes of Freedom” tribute opened in 2008 at the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda and now travels the country. In addition to 8 life-size oil paintings, a bronze sculpture, “Silent Battle,” serves as the exhibit centerpiece.
The tour honors the service and sacrifice of all who answer our nation’s call and portrays men of Lima Company 325, a Marine Reserve Unit based in Columbus, Ohio. The unit deployed to the Middle East, and in the summer of 2005, gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Iraq War.
