A press release from the Red Barn Summer Theater.
In the 1800’s ‘barnstormers’ were theatrical troupes who traveled to America’s rural districts to perform. At the Red Barn we’ve adopted that name for our volunteers who help both inside and out doing any task asked of them.
The Barnstormers will return to the Red Barn on Saturday, May 24th, to remove the last vestiges of Fall, Winter, and Spring from the Barn grounds before this year’s summer company arrives. We’ll be working from 10 am until 1 pm.
We realize that Saturday the 24th is smack in the middle of Memorial Day Weekend, which means conflicts with high school graduations, parties, vacations, cook-outs, weddings, and ceremonies., so we understand that many of our usual volunteers may be otherwise occupied.
But if you have an hour or more, would like to see what Andi’s been up to with the grounds, feel like throwing a stick in a trash bag, help clean the interior of the barn or just want to have a coffee and a sweet roll, bring your gloves and favorite garden tool and stop by the Red Barn and say hello.
We appreciate all of our Barnstormers and welcome new volunteers anytime.
