Temporary Closures Planned Wednesday Night On I-65 Southbound

Short-term closures of southbound I-65 are scheduled between 71st Street and I-465 (MM 123.6) the evening of Wednesday, April 9, for overhead utility work on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Crews will temporarily stop traffic for up to 20 minutes at a time between 9 and 11 p.m., weather permitting. The entrance ramp from 71st Street will also close during each traffic stop.

Starting around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, a single-lane closure will be in place at the same location. Temporary closure of the 71st Street entrance ramp may be possible due to queueing. The single-lane closure will remain in place through late Wednesday evening.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, especially during the 9 to 11 p.m. timeframe. This work will be rescheduled, if needed, due to inclement weather.
