Speed Limit Reduction Coming To State Road 39 In Mechanicsburg

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a speed limit reduction on State Road 39 in Mechanicsburg.

Beginning on or after Monday, April 14, crews will begin installing new signs that will lower the speed limit from 50 to 45 miles per hour through town. This will take place between S.R. 39 just south of Sugar Creek to just south of County Road 800 N., where the speed limit will change to 55 mph.

At this time, work is not anticipated to cause delays or lane closures in the area. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change. INDOT encourages drivers to be aware of the change and to reduce their speed while traveling through this area, in an effort to keep safety top of mind.
