Single Vehicle Crash Claims Life Of Frankfort Man

On September 29, 2025, at approximately 5:28 am, Carroll County E-911 received a call about a single vehicle crash in the area of US 421, south of CR 400 South. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, along with several local agencies, responded to the scene. Upon arrival, first responders determined there were two occupants of the vehicle. The driver was taken by ambulance to IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette where he was later transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The passenger was pronounced dead on scene from injuries sustained in the crash. The passenger is reportedly from Frankfort.

Deputies determined that the 2000 Mitsubishi Sedan was traveling northbound on US 421 when for an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree on private property.

Deputies requested the assistance of Indiana State Police reconstruction specialists to help with the investigation.

This crash is currently under investigation by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police.
