Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Cook, 80, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born August 10, 1946, in Rockville, a daughter of the late Charles and Roberta (Teague) Batty.
Becky married Jack Raymond Cook on August 22, 1970, at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon. They shared 40 years of marriage before his passing on August 2, 2010.
Becky graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1964. She worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines and later for Hanley and Miller Advertising in Indianapolis. Becky also worked as a server at the Lebanon Elks Lodge for 40 years.
She enjoyed playing cards and bowling in the Wednesday night league. Becky took great pride in her yard and flowers and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of First Community Church and the Phi Chi Epsilon Sorority.
Becky is survived by her children, Kelly Cook and Grant N. (Sheila Hale) Cook, both of Lebanon; and her grandchildren, Charli, Josi, and Jack Tanner Greene.
In addition to her parents and husband, Becky was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Voorhis.
Memorial contributions in Becky’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Boone County, 5366 S. Indianapolis Road, Whitestown, IN 46075, or to the Lebanon Elks Lodge, 215 Lafayette Avenue, Lebanon, IN 46052.
Family and friends will gather Sunday, August 16, for visitation from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 17, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary, with Pastor Craig Carrell officiating. Becky will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
