Margaret Louise Harrison

Margaret Louise Harrison, 100, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Crown Pointe of Lebanon. She was born August 23, 1924, in Thorntown, a daughter of the late Paul E. and Nolene (McDonald) Dale. Margaret married Robert L. Harrison on August 11, 1945, and they were married for 62 years, until his passing November 13, 2007. 

Margaret graduated from Thorntown High School with the class of 1941. She had then worked as the head bookkeeper for Citizens Bank & Trust. Margaret enjoyed making dinner for her family, along with sewing, gardening, word search puzzles, and cross stitch. She also enjoyed going to Dale Hollow Lake for houseboat trips. Margaret loved smoking her Pal Mal cigarettes and drinking cold beer! She was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and was involved in a bowling league. 

Survivors include her daughters, Diana (Roger) Swinney of Lebanon and Peggy Taylor of Noblesville; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tyler) Van Mieghem of Indianapolis, Janet (Marie) Dean of Brownsburg, Shea Copenhaver of Noblesville, and Nathan Taylor of Noblesville; great grandchildren, Bennett (Casssandra) Jones- Van Mieghem, Lauren Van Mieghem, Grant Copenhaver, and Cash Copenhaver; and great-great grandchild, Casper Jones – Van Mieghem. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean (Bill) Caldwell and Marybelle (J.C.) Emmett.
