Mrs. Margaret A. “Margie” Lowery, 79, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital. She was born June 2, 1945, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Orville Victor Batts, Sr. and Mary Alice (Clemens) Batts.
On October 29, 1964, she was united in marriage to Walter G. Lowery in Boone County, Indiana. They enjoyed 57 years together before his passing on February 28, 2022.
Margie graduated from Thorntown High School.
She attended Mechanicsburg Christian Church and recently, First Community Church in Lebanon. Margie enjoyed playing Euchre with her sisters. She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her brother, Lanny L. (Mary) Batts of Lebanon and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margie was preceded in death by brothers, Charles E. (Bonnie) Batts and Orville V. (Doris) Batts, Jr.; and sisters, Marca (Lowell) Ford, Jean (Jerry) Gregg, and Joan (Omer) Smith.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana. Myers Mortuary has been entrusted with her arrangements.
Memorials may be directed in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
