Lucinda “Cindy” Sue Proctor, 53, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on November 24, 1971, in Adelanto, California, a daughter of Samuel G. and Sally A. (Holifield) Shepherd.
Cindy married Thomas William Proctor and later divorced; he survives.
She graduated from Lebanon High School, where she was an active cross country runner. After graduating she obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville. Cindy was employed at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood as a caretaker before finishing her career at Hickory Creek at Lebanon.
She attended Bethel First Church of Pentecost in Lebanon. Cindy enjoyed 4-H and outdoor activities like gardening, fishing, and mushroom hunting. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family.
Survivors include her children, Samuel James Proctor, Isabella Hope Proctor, and Lucas William Proctor; parents, Sam and Sally Shepherd; sister, Sheila J. Shepherd; and nephews, Max Shepherd and Jake (Cassie) Cline.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
