Lowell N. Hull

Lowell N. Hull, 95, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at his home in Whitestown, Indiana. He was born on December 23, 1929, in Indianapolis, Indiana; a son of the late Retus A. and Ruth Ellen (Heckman) Hull.



He graduated from Whitestown High School and married his high school sweetheart, Donna Jean (Engledow) Hull, on November 14, 1949. They shared 68 wonderful years together before she passed away on December 13, 2017.



Lowell was employed for several years at Phillips 66 Petroleum as an auditor for many of their locations. He later was self-employed working in construction.



He was a member of the Whitestown United Methodist Church. Active in his community, Lowell served on the Whitestown Town Board and Boone County Planning Commission. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed his family immensely. Lowell enjoyed woodworking and completing Cryptogram puzzles.



Survivors include two children, Janet Gress of Lebanon and Bob (Ronda) Hull of Culleoka, TN; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.



In addition to his parents and wife, Lowell was preceded in death by two daughters, Rebecca Ann Hull in infancy and Sherry Frame; three brothers, Kenneth Hull, Charles Hull, and John Hull; and two sisters, Rosemary Starkey and Wilma Jean Fairfield.



Visitation is planned from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
