Linda Lou (Mundell) Reeves

Linda Lou (Mundell) Reeves (89) went to heaven peacefully on April 2, 2025, surrounded by family during prayer.

Linda was born on February 4, 1936, in Lebanon, IN, to proud parents Sam and Wanda (Stephenson) Mundell. She later became a big sister to three siblings whom she absolutely adored.

She met the love of her life, Jackie “Jack” L. Reeves, and they married on June 3, 1955. They had two beautiful children, Mike and Vicki Reeves, who were the light of their life.

For most of her life, Linda was a Boone County resident and a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She always had the best fashion sense, “dressed to the nines.” She loved to dance, shop, spend time at the lake, listen to music, cheer on the Colts and Cincinnati Reds, watch NASCAR, The Indy 500, The Kentucky Derby, socialize with family and friends, and travel. She also loved Christmas, the beach, Vera Bradley and always had the most beautiful Christmas tree, full of perfect Hallmark ornaments. She would gift all of her family Hallmark ornaments each year for their own trees, and she was the QVC Queen! She also loved the Lord with all her heart.

During her life, while raising her family, she worked at Commercial Filters and Hallmark. Linda loved her community and was a member of the Lebanon Eagles Women’s Auxiliary, Lebanon Elks, and the Lebanon American Legion. She was in many 4th of July parades and was even Uncle Sam one year, donning stilts and all. She supported her children and grandchildren in everything they did. She often volunteered to be a chaperone for Mike and Vicki's school trips, and all the kids loved her because she would let everyone have fun while keeping them safe. She even chaperoned a band trip to Florida by bus one year for Vicki's class, and everyone fell in love with her! She loved going to watch Mike play his drums and would be on the dance floor all night. She also helped get her grandchildren to school and attended their many sporting and musical events. She loved supporting her family and community so much!

As a member of the local Sorority Beta Sigma Phi, she volunteered for many charitable events, such as making stockings and goodie bags throughout the year for local veterans in nursing homes and delivering them with her sorority sisters.

Survivors of The Legacy she leaves behind include her daughter, Vicki Reeves; sisters, Mary (Doug) Taylor and Carol De Raad; brother, Jerry (Sheila) Mundell; sister-in-law, Joy Reeves; daughter-in-law, Joanne Fregeau; grandchildren, Kristen (Jesse) Linton, Josh (Kalli McCullum) Reeves, Danielle (Chris) Cosgrove, and Evan Reeves; great-grandchildren, Colton (Kylie Aldridge) Ryan, Camille Kinney, Ashton Linton, Lilly Reeves, Roselyn (Rosie) Reeves, Tyler Hepfer, Jackson Hepfer, Jacob Hepfer, and Emery Cosgrove; and great-great granddaughter, Haizley Ryan joined the family in January, and she absolutely loved being able to meet and hold her. She also had many other nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured loved ones.

Beloved pets include her dogs Curly, Larry, and Moe (The Stooges), who were always by her side, and her grand dog, Rocky.

Greeting her in heaven were her parents, Wanda (Stephenson) Mundell, Sam, and Fern Mundell; her mother and father-in-law, Harold and Dorothy Reeves; her Husband, Jackie (Jack) Reeves; brother-in-law, Bobby Gene Reeves; her son, Michael (Mike) Reeves; and so many other treasured family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Linda Abels for her diligent care during Linda’s 8-year battle against Alzheimer’s. They would also like to thank Team Select Home Care and her aides, Leslie Griggs and Briley Spaulding, who loved her and assisted in providing her with the very best loving care possible until she was called home.

Visitation is planned for Friday, May 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Memorial Services with Women’s Auxiliary Eagles Rites will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations for the Salvation Army of Boone County. She was very proud that her granddaughter, Kristen Linton, is the chairwoman of the organization's work in the community that she loved. Donations may be sent to Myers Mortuary or to The Farmers Bank in her name, located at 2304 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, IN 46052. Please make checks payable to The Salvation Army of Boone County.
