Linda K. Ramsey, 79, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Markleville, Indiana. She was born on September 28, 1946, in Long Island, New York, the daughter of the late Floyd C. and E. Joanne (Busenbark) Beebe.
On March 19, 1966, she married the love of her life, Larry Ramsey, in Shannondale, Indiana. Linda was a 1964 graduate of Dover High School.
She worked as a Histology Technician at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville, formerly Culver Union Hospital, where her steady hands and gentle manner were appreciated by patients and colleagues alike.
Linda was a faithful member of Dover Christian Church and also attended Lees Chapel in Kentucky. She enjoyed a life full of simple joys—being a proud horse show mom, fishing, hunting, gardening, and collecting lighthouses. Together, she and Larry founded Ramsey Deer Processing, which grew into a beloved family tradition and success story shared across generations.
Annual fishing trips to Canada with Larry, family, and friends were among her greatest delights, offering memories and photo moments she cherished deeply. In retirement, she found peace and lifelong friendships at Wolf River Resort on Dale Hollow Lake, a place she considered her home away from home.
Linda also had a heart for missions. She treasured her trips to Ethiopia, where she poured love into the children she met and shared with them the message of Jesus. Above all, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness and steady presence will be profoundly missed.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Larry Ramsey; three daughters, Lynnette (Jeff) Boone, Laura (Eric) Roberds, and Leah (Brad) Bangel; seven grandchildren, Ashtin (James) Main, Jobie (Anthony) Gardner, Tray Ray, McGwire Strother, Dawson Strother, Mackenzie (Caleb) Cleek, and Gunner (Noelle) Boone; and three great-grandchildren, Beau Main, Lainey Main, and Wayne Cleek. She is also survived by her sister, Leanna S. Newby, along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Edward Newby.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Dover Christian Church in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Dover Cemetery. Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana, has been entrusted with her arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope for His Children, 773 N. 700 West, Lebanon, Indiana 46052, or online at www.hopeforhischildren.org.
