Lebanon Schools Announce Attendance Protocols for High School Athletic Events

The Lebanon Athletic Department issued a press release in regard to student behavior at athletic events.

Lebanon High School Athletics is committed to providing a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for our student-athletes, families, and community members. We have recently experienced an increase in disruptive behavior from unsupervised elementary and middle school students at our athletic events.

Following incidents last year and during our recent home games, we are implementing updated attendance and supervision protocols for Lebanon High School athletic events to ensure safety and maintain a positive environment.

Beginning this Friday for the Homecoming game, the following guidelines will be in effect:

• K–8 Attendance & Supervision:

Students in grades K–8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter a Lebanon High School athletic event. Unaccompanied K–8 students will not be admitted. Parents and guardians are responsible for providing appropriate supervision for the K–8 students attending with them throughout the event. If a K–8 student attends an event as a guest of another LCSC student or family, the parent/guardian of that student or family assumes responsibility for the supervision of the visiting K–8 student for the duration of the event.

• Post-Event Departure:

All students, including guests of LCSC students, in grades K–12 must leave school grounds within 30 minutes following the conclusion of the event, unless they are under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian, school coach, or staff member. Students who remain on campus past this window without appropriate supervision will lose the privilege to attend future athletic events.
