Larry Wayne Baer, 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Ascension St.
Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on August 9, 1951, in Crawfordsville, a son of the late Harold Leo and Janet Louise (Williams) Baer.
On July 19, 1980, he married Grace P. (Pair) Baer in Clinton, Illinois; she survives.
He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1969 and went on to attend Ivy Tech. Larry
worked as a maintenance technician for Shumate Business Form in Lebanon and retired from Acuity Brands in Crawfordsville.
He attended First Community Church in Lebanon and was a member of the NRA and
Crawfordsville Gun Club. Larry enjoyed fishing with his granddaughter, target shooting, and taking
walks on the Big Four Trail with his beloved dog, Chloe. He loved working in his garden and was an avid history buff and had a knack for fixing everything.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Baer of Lebanon; children, Mark Baer of Crawfordsville and Rebecca Baer of Lebanon; granddaughter, Breanna Baer; and brother, Michael (Julia) Baer of Cullman, Alabama.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Breedlove and his grandmother, Amy Hulvey whom he held dear to his heart.
Memorial services are planned for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
