Kelley Ileen Gibbs-Budd

Kelley Ileen Gibbs-Budd, 54, of Westfield, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Known for her radiant smile, sharp wit, and generous spirit, Kelley devoted her life to caring for others—both personally and professionally.

Born on October 20, 1970, to Dr. Philip Stone Gibbs and Cynthia M. Gibbs, Kelley grew up in Lebanon, Indiana, with a strong sense of family, compassion, and service. Following in her father’s footsteps in healthcare, she earned her nursing degree and advanced practice certification, ultimately building a distinguished career as a highly respected nurse practitioner.

In her decades of practice, Kelley cared for countless patients with skill, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being. She was known for her ability to listen deeply, explain clearly, and advocate fiercely for those in her care. Colleagues admired her clinical expertise, tough love and mentorship, while patients cherished the trust and comfort she brought to every interaction.

Outside of work, Kelley found joy in teaching exercise classes, inspiring others to embrace healthy living. She especially treasured her family’s annual trips to Sanibel Island, where she could relax by the ocean, collect seashells, and savor time with loved ones.

Kelley was the proud mother of three children—Annaliese Budd, 24; Aiden Budd, 22; and Aaron Budd, 19—who were the center of her world. She also shared a close bond with her brother, Matt Gibbs.

She is survived by her mother, Cynthia M. Gibbs; her brother, Matt Gibbs; her daughter, Annaliese; her sons, Aiden and Aaron and the children’s loving father and close friend, George Budd IV. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Philip Stone Gibbs.

A celebration of Kelley’s life will be held in the fall of this year, with the exact date to be announced later. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with Kelley’s care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gibbs Family Foundation for which Kelley served as Treasurer, www.thegibbsfamilyfoundation.org.
