Kathy Sue Cross

Kathy Sue Cross, 73, passed away Friday evening, August 1, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on November 26, 1951, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Felix and Anna Adell (Ewing) Wethington.



On July 12, 1968, she was united in marriage to John C. Cross in Lebanon; he survives.



She was raised in Boone County and attended Thorntown High School. She spent her working career at Federal Mogel as a set-up operator.



Kathy loved her family fiercely. She attended many sporting events for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, camping, motorcycle riding and horseback riding in her younger years. She was also proud of her accomplishments with her UAW family. She loved spending as much time as she could at their lake home. She spent many hours reading books and watching Indiana basketball (Pacers, Fever and IU).



Survivors include her husband, John Cross of Lebanon; daughter, Sheryl (Rod) Dunahee of Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Becky Cross of Thorntown; grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan) Dunahee Johnson, Levi (Kaylie) Dunahee, Colton Cross, and Kayleigh Vernon; great grandchildren, Rayce Cross, Zoey Vernon, Kendall Johnson, Aidan Johnson, Weston Vernon, and Kash Smith; two sisters, Ann Albaugh of New Market and Martha Sigler of Mechanicsburg; brother-in-law, Steve (Jeryl) Cross; sister-in-law, Sherrie (Jansen) Ausherman; and many nieces and nephews.



In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her son, Brian Cross; brother, Danny Wethington; sister, Connie Lamar; brothers-in-law, Larry Albaugh and George Sigler; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Doris Cross; sister-in-law, Joette Cross; and nephews, Jay ‘Douglas’ Albaugh and Jeremy Lamar.



Visitation is planned from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
